Ballroom Dance
 The Opportunity House Ballroom Dance Club invites everyone to come out for social dancing from 7:30-10:00 PM every Friday night! Come join us on Fridays-snacks and beverages are provided, couples and singles are welcome. Invite a friend! Cost is $6. Often, free 30 minute brush up dance lessons are provided at 7:00 PM.

Bridge
 Whatever your level of skill, beginner to master, Opportunity House has the bridge group for you with many different groups to choose from!
Calligraphy
 Classes on the Art of Beautiful Writing are available Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 PM in
4-week sessions. The cost is $55 for OH members; $65 for nonmembers. For more information please stop by the front desk or call 692-0575.
Canasta
 Canasta, which originated in Uruguay in 1940 and became as popular as bridge, is played at Opportunity House every Wednesday from 12:30-3:30 PM. The cost is $2 for OH members; $3 for guests who are welcome to visit twice before being asked to join.
Clogging
 Opportunity House is currently looking for a clogging instructor. For more information, please call 692-0575.
Computer Classes
 COST: $30 for members for each class or $40 for nonmembers per class.
Each class session limited to five (5) people.
Classes are held from 9: 3 0 - 1 1:00 AM or from
11 :30 AM - 1 :00 PM . Must sign up and pay at least 24 hours before each class.

Cribbage
 Cribbage meets from 6:30-9:00 PM on Mondays. We welcome everybody-if you have played the game or not! The cost is $2 for OH members; $3 for guests who are welcome to visit twice before being asked to join. For more information, please call Norris McDowell at 891-7317.
Golf League
 The Opportunity House Golf League is a co-ed league that plays at Crooked Creek Golf Club on Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings. League members can sign up for any one day or all three days if they wish. The season runs from the beginning of April to the end of October.

Knitting
 Knitting Classes for Beginners is registering now and will begin Wed. May 26th to be held on Wednesdays from 10 - 11:30 AM. The cost for a 6-week course is $45 for OH members; $55 nonmembers.

Line Dancing
Line Dance Classes have resumed! The next session of classes will start on Thursday, June 3rd and is registering now. Led by Donna Rhodes, these popular classes meet Thursday evenings. The Beginners class is held from 6:30 - 7:30 PM and the Intermediate class follows from 7:45 - 8:45 PM. The cost for an 8 week session is $48 for OH members; $56 for nonmembers.
Medical Testing
 Opportunity House sponsors low cost, affordable medical testing every Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 AM. Bloodwork is drawn by Linda Garren, RN and sent to Quest Diagnostic Laboratories in Asheville. Test results drawn on Wednesdays are returned by Friday at 3 PM and can be picked up at the front desk or mailed when a self addressed, stamped
envelope is provided.

Oil & Acrylics Painting
 Painting with oils & acrylics is led by instructor Clare Clark on Mondays from 12:00-3:00 PM in 6-week sessions and covers blending colors, brush techniques and perspective. Pinochle

Poker

Pottery
 Pottery Classes are now being held at Opportunity House, led by instructor Arlene Pryor. The next session will be for handbuilding beginners and is called Coil, Pinch & Roll. Students will learn techniques for shaping and joining clay, textures and glazing and can work at their own pace. The course meets Tuesdays from 2:00 - 4:30 PM for 8 weeks and costs $120 per student, which includes clay, glazes, firing and all supplies. Next start date is May 11th and is registering now.
Sewing
 The Opportunity House Sewing Group meets every Tuesday from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM.
Singles Group
 The Opportunity House Singles Group no longer meets at Opportunity House, but holds get-togethers at various restaurants around the community on most Wednesdays of the month.

Stained Glass
 Stained Glass classes are held Tuesdays from 1:00-4:00 PM led by instructor Cheryl Stippich. Classes focus on the copper foil method and are for beginners as well as for those wishing to refresh their skills. Students learn how to cut and fit glass, foil, solder and finish their own glass projects. The cost for an 8-week session of classes is $70 for OH members; $85 nonmembers. Watercolor Painting
 Beginning Watercolor Painting classes led by Diane Coleman are held Thursdays from 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM in 6-week sessions. Cost is $70 for OH members; $85 for nonmembers.
Advanced Watercolor Painting led by instructor Dick Kaiser is held Wednesdays from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM in 6-week sessions. The cost is $75 for OH members; $90 nonmembers. Supply lists are available at the front desk.

Weaving
 Weaving Studio time is available in our fully stocked weaving room. For access, you must currently be a member of Opportunity House, then pay a $45 monthly studio fee. Available Mon. - Fri. 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Check in at the front desk is required.

 Woodcarvers of every skill level are welcome Wednesday and Thursdays mornings from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM to join the Opportunity House Woodcarvers. Please come as a guest the first time, then to become a regular participant, become a member of Opportunity House and pay an $8 monthly fee.

 The Apple Country Woodcrafters club for carpenters, woodturners, woodcarvers, cabinet makers and others that work with wood meets at Opportunity House on the 4th Monday of every month at 9:00 AM. The club is always looking for new members and persons of all expertise levels are welcome to join.
